It’s through portrait painting that Vandy explores the main theme that inspires her work as an artist: women's resilience. The ability to bounce back in the face of challenges, losses, and adversity. The resilient woman harnesses inner strengths and rebounds from setbacks such as illness, trauma, or the death of a loved one. In her artistic practice, Vandy favours oil paint, watercolor and inks to highlight the subject’s expressions and emotions. She creates artworks filled with details that are always inspired by a story and music.
