The Exhibition

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Art Department is presenting a group exhibition showcasing the diverse talents of its students and artisans, past and present. Three exhibition spaces: The "Centre Culturel Berger", "les salles Gaétan-Blanchet" and outside facing the main entrance of the Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup. Starting September 9th 2020.

50 years of art at Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup

In the fall of 1970, at the Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup, the Fine Arts program welcomed its first students. The Graphic Design and Presentation Aesthetics programs were added in 1972. Finally, in 1973, the Interior Design program was added to the Arts Department's curriculum.

The 2020-2021 school year marks the 50th anniversary of the Art Department. Proud of their history and the careers of their graduates, they are taking advantage of this year to highlight the colourful past and present of their department.

The event will take place on site, Wednesday, September 9th 2020, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, but more details are coming soon!

My artwork

For the exhibition, I wanted to express myself in what I consider to be my specialty: ink portraits. By accentuating my painting with magenta and primary yellow, I wanted to give a graphic design feel to my work. The painting is to be discovered at the event itself! I will only upload the work online once the event is over. Hoping you will all enjoy attending!
